UPDATE ON THE DA AND TBI INVESTIGATION:
As you know it takes time - a lot of time but they are making progress and we are hoping that it will only be a few more months until we can have a wonderful answer for all of you who have patiently waited.
Please know that as much as each of you have been hurt, Doug and I have been hurt even more to the point of affecting my health. However, with God by our sides, we have given the work over to the TBI and the DA. However, Jay, Mike, and any other of the Steering Committee Members that would like to will get together on Monday evening at 6:00p.m.AT OUR HOME to discuss a CLASS ACTION law suit against Conservatives on the Move and Fabian Story personally, PLEASE COME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED!
NOW FOR SOME GOOD NEWS - WHETHER THIS PERSON IS YOUR PICK OR NOT - THE POSSIBILITY OF THEIR BEING YOUR PRESIDENT AND WANTING TO COME TO UPPER EAST TN. IS EXTREMELY OVERWHELMING.
With that said, Newt Gingrich's campaign has contacted me and asked that we allow him to come in February or early March. I have gotten back with them to say - YOU pick the month and exact date - send us an official confirmation from his schedulers and we will be glad to work to make this event happen!!
Those of you who have purchased tickets for the first event - your money given will be honored however, the VIP seats will still be $200.00 which will include a reception as well as the dinner. The regular meal will be $100.00 - if you paid $50.00, then you would only pay a $50.00 difference or if you paid $25.00 for the debate, you would pay $75.00 for the meal, and personal handshakes and pictures with the Speaker. If we can find a venue, less expensive, we will change these prices. Also, if this is too much for a lump sum, you can contact me in Jan. and make payments which will be in a special account to pay Meadowview for the meals. As you know, the money was in the hands of Conservaties on the Move but we will try to raise enough to honor your payments by selling ads for the program.
Also, I am meeting with Meadowview on Monday to see if we can afford to get the room on Dec. 17th for a smaller group and everyone who will be invited to "Celebrate America 2012" with our own representatives, Lt., Gov. Ron Ramsey, Senator Rusty Crowe, Rep. Tony Shipley, Rep. Matthew Hill, Rep. Dale Ford, as well as the Representatives from the other surrounding counties and all Republican Conservatives. Congressman Roe is invited and Rep. Terry Lynn Weaver has confirmed that she has us on her calendar for that event to present us with her wonderful songs and her Christmas Album! She is a Country Music Singer as well as a State Representative! We need to be together and we need to socialize. I will get back with you with a price for your meal only. You will not have to purchase a meal to attend but a $10.00 donation to help with the room charges will be appreciated. Hopefully you will make this a priority on your calendar! Stay tuned, we may have to change this venue if Meadowview will not work with us. We will let you know at the first of next week.
As you can see from this - We are still trying and determined to have special things for each of you!
We Love Each of you in a special way.
Sincerely,
Doug and Kay White
P.S. - please express a special "thank you" to Brenda Osborne for still sending out notices. We need someone to help her. Ana Marie Smith would like to but has had several issues which have not allowed her to take over this position yet. THANK YOU BRENDA -WE LOVE YOU.

An Action Plan to Ensure our Public Schools Teach the Constitutiion during Constitution Week, Sept 18-24, 2011
(From http://www.teapartypatriots.org/)
NOTE: Go to Tea Party Patriots site for the documents.
An Action Plan to Ensure Our Public Schools Teach the Constitution during Constitution Week, Sept. 18-24, 2011 Patriots across the country are justifiably concerned that students in the public schools are not being taught about the founding documents which created our nation. In 2004, Congress passed a law which requires an educational program on the Constitution be taught in all public schools during Constitution Week.
In 2010, a Patriot in Florida brought the requirement to the attention of his local school district and asked what program would be offered. He was stunned to learn the school district was unaware of the law and no plans had been made to comply with it.
He suggested Tea Party Patriots mount a national campaign for 2011 Constitution Week to pressure our public schools to comply with the law. The response from local coordinators was uniformly positive: We must pressure the public schools to teach the Constitution!
Patriots should not have to remind schools to teach the history of the most important document in our country. That we have to do so is an indication of how awful the public school system has become with regard to teaching U.S. history.
We have designed a simple plan to achieve this goal. It will be most effective if we can launch a national campaign in all 50 states.
How it Works: We ask that you send a series of 3 letters to the superintendent of schools, school board and local media in your community. Letters can be mailed, emailed, or faxed.
May 2011 – Send Letter #1: This letter asks the superintendent and school board if they have plans to teach the Constitution as required by law. It lets the district know we are aware of the law and we expect it to be followed. It also suggests a curriculum the schools can purchase from the National Center for Constitutional Studies which can be used to meet the requirements. The NCCS program also meets standards for historical accuracy.

Companion Guide

Download Letter #1 as a Word document and fill in the blanks with the name of your district, superintendent, etc.
August 2011 – Send Letter #2: This letter is a follow-up to the May message. It is similar to the first letter, but it asks the superintendent to let you know what specific plans the district has in place.
Download Letter #2 as a Word document and fill in the blanks with the name of your district, superintendent, etc.
First week of September – Letter #3 to local media: This letter should be sent to the media in your community. It informs them of the law and describes our efforts to be sure it is observed appropriately during Constitution Week. It asks the media to contact the schools to see what plans they have in place, and if not, why not?
Download Letter #3 as a Word document and fill in the blanks with the name of your district, superintendent, etc.
These letters can be personalized for use in your community. We need to contact as many school districts as possible to let them know we are serious about educating our children in the principles of the Founders. We expect districts to observe the law.
If you find resistance from your district superintendent or administrators toward implementing the program, please let your Tea Party group know, and then contact the media in your community.
If some schools in your district refuse to comply with law, then consider doing what Tea Partiers do best: Protest! Organize a rally at the school, with a clear message: We demand that students be taught the meaning and significance of the fundamental documents that created our incomparable nation.

Maiden Voyage of the US Heritage
With Doug White at the Helm - Jonesborough Days Parade 2011
Seventy six trombones led the big parade! Well...maybe it was a few less, but the trombones from DCHS did lead.
What a wonderful day for a parade! We had a blast and our float was well received by the audience. There were many rounds of applauds as well as audience participation singing "God Bless America". We also had a few "U S A" chants as we marched to the judging area.
A BIG Thanks to everyone who designed, built, supported and participated. Our wonderful float was a stupendous success.
As we receive photos, we will post here for everyone to enjoy.
